Our Story
Gilles Dumont is a Belgian born, three Michelin-star trained Chef, with a wealth of knowledge in the culinary world. When it comes to cooking, his passion and ingredients are a true testament, to the experience, he has gained over the last 20 years. Gilles has cooked his way around the globe. His clever use of spices, combined with his flair of cooking has always turned heads. In London, Gilles’ name has circled the culinary scene, from Head Chef at Gordon Ramsay’s Maze, to managing several high profile new openings around the city over the years. During his time in London, he also worked for a prestigious events company, writing menus and managing large teams of chefs of all ranks.
Hotelier and restauranteur Mark Beehan has just under two decades of experience in the industry. After completing his studies in the hospitality sector, he moved from Ireland to London. Mark worked in and managed prestigious venues around the city, including Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen, and Sir Terence Conran’s’ Private Dining and Members club on Fleet street. After getting a taste for events, Mark helped organise weddings abroad and managed many prominent events on the London calendar. He has taken care of some of the most famous people on the planet. Mark is also a multi-award winning Great British Entrepreneur and enjoys spending some of his time on his social enterprise.
Having worked together on many events, Gilles and Mark decided to join forces and create an exciting brand that would offer the best of their experience, to each and every client, each and every time. Chef & Waiter was born, aiming to deliver luxury dining by providing a calm atmosphere and service in beautiful homes and venues in London, across the country, and around the world. They are proud to have worked with great industry specialists and are lucky to have access to a pool of highly qualified staff as required.
